We use ultra-heavy duty cylinder mowers, providing a 28inch cut in width and a cut height of 12mm, you may be thinking ”12mm seems too low for my lawn”, and this may very well be the case so please see our FAQ section regarding “Lawn Heights”

Benefits of cylinder lawn mowing:

The four main benefits of cylinder lawn mowing when performed by a world class professional are:

– Avoid lawn becoming spongy, raised and uneven.

Disadvantages of cylinder lawn mowing:

– Because of the mowers 30inch width, sometimes access to rear of houses can be difficult, our Crown Lawn professionals are trained to be able to “Spin” the mower trough smaller gates to help aid in the problem.

If those blistering summers and wet winters have made your lawn get away from you over the last few months a rotary mower may be needed, in the intrum until we can get your lawn back to a maintenances height (12mm) to be able to use one of our top quality cylinder mowers to give you that golf green finish. Unlike the cylinder mower the rotary mower has rotating blades underneath which “Chops” the blades of grass, giving it the ability to cut much longer grass.

The two main benefits of rotary lawn mowing when performed by a world class professional are:

– The Ability to cut longer grass.

–  As the machine is smaller we are able to get into smaller areas I.e rears of houses with small entries.

The two main disadvantages to rotary lawn mowing are:

–  The final result is not does not look as good as the golf green finish the cylinder mower provides.

–  As the rotary “Chops” the blades of grass over time it causes the grass to become raised and spongy, this is why we recommend a cylinder mower where ever possible.

Our world class lawn mower men at Crown Lawns know just what it takes to get those edges just perfect to help complete the final result of a Crown Lawns mow and we strive for those seemingly perfect results every time.

Not only does good edging help the final look of the mow but it also helps prevent grass from growing into garden beds, foot paths and other unwanted areas.

The brush cutter would have to be one of the lawn mower man’s most useful tools, from getting into those hard to reach places, to finishing off any areas unable to be reached by the mower right up to block slashing, the brush cutter can do it all.
